The headlong rush to decarbonise in the name of net zero should not be an opportunity for capitalist profit and making workers pay through lower living standards and the loss of industry.

Nearly every political decision in Britain today refers to climate change impacts. But capitalism largely operates in the short-term, regardless of long-term impacts or what society needs.

How should Britain’s workers respond to the many complex facets of climate change and net zero?
