On May Day we take stock of Britain and the world.

The ruling class and the government use wars overseas to divert from their attack against the British working class, foremost their plan to rejoin the EU. Reject their plan and join us in rebuilding an independent Britain.

The British working class can act as force for peace by calling for an end to foreign adventures and interference by our government. We must use our resources for our many needs here in Britain. The essential and urgent task for workers is to rebuild and maintain an independent industrial base – including defence.

May Day 2025: Politics is not parliament: it’s on us, the working class

On May Day we take stock of Britain and the world. The priority for the British working class – all who live and work here – is Britain.

Capitalism outsources production and strips Britain of our national assets –  and unchecked it will drag us further into war and bring Britain to ruin.

Workers built our nation. We must rebuild Britain to meet our needs and cannot rely on politicians or parliament to do it for us.

On International Workers Day, the CPBML invites you to discuss the way forward. The people of Britain must take responsibility for Brexit: we can rely on no one else.
