Farmers from all over the UK marched to Downing Street on Wednesday 23 March to demand a future for British farming. The EU has done nothing to secure farming livelihoods in this country.
Although Brexit was not the explicit theme of this demonstration, many realised there was no future for them unless we leave the EU and regain control of budgets and agricultural policy. They don't want farming to go the way of coal and steel.
British food standards are the best in the world. The little red tractor is the sign of quality assured produce, but is threatened by foreign corporate takeover under the EU's secretive TTIP trade treaty.
